Dr. Nisreen Beshir Osman is currently working as the Vice President of Bayan University and an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology.
She received her Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Sudan University of Science and Technology with a specialization in “Modelling Quality of Mobile Systems”. She also holds an advanced M.Sc. degree in Human Computer Systems from De Montfort University, Leicester, United Kingdom, and a B.Sc. Honors degree in Computer Science from Facultyof Mathematical Science, University of Khartoum, Sudan.

Through her career Dr. Nisreen gained an extensive experience in teaching a wide range of Computer Science and Information Systems & Technology courses, in addition to supervising projects and research both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Her research interests and experience in Computer Science and ICT focuses on Software Quality and Performance Improvement, Usability Engineering, Knowledge Management & Knowledge Based Systems, and ICT4D. In addition to her teaching and research experience, Dr. Nisreen has also a solid education management experience gained form her work in different managerial positions such as the head of the Information Systems and Computer Science departments, Secretary of the academic affairs and the Dean of Bayan College of Science and Technology. She has several research publications in international Journals and conferences on Software Quality, Usability and Acceptance of Mobile Information Systems, and Knowledge management. In Addition, she published two books in “User Interface Design” and Modeling the Quality of Mobile Systems”. She also has a teaching experience for over fifteen years. Her teaching interests are in advanced topics in Software engineering, Human Computer Interaction and Software Quality Assurance.
This intensive experience qualified her to work as an ICT specialist and consultant to different governmental and private institutions. Dr. Nisreen was a member of different committees among these are the Committee of Regulating Private and Foreign Higher Education Institutions, the Technical Committee for Private and Foreign Institutions (Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Sudan), member of the High Committee of “The Sudanese Award of Information & Communication Technology”, member of the Committee of the Information Society Policy (National Information Center, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Sudan), and member of Committee of Information and Communication Technology Policy Formulation (Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Sudan). She was also the Chair of Scientific Research, Creativity and Innovation Task Force at National Software Center, and a member of the Council of the National Software Center (Sudan)
Dr. Nisreen was also one of the key experts in establishing and promoting the International Computer Driving License (ICDL) in Sudan through her work for over ten years with UNESCO Cairo Office (UCO) as a Quality Assurance Officer
